Cirque des Artes

Saturday marked The ArtsCenter’s 35th year in Carrboro. There was a live auction, live music from the Triangle Jazz Orchestra and a fantastic magician–all there to help keep the arts centered.

The ArtsCenter still needs your help! We need a new sound system, dance floor, roof repairs and a new coat of paint. Click here to find out more about the Keep the Arts Centered Campaign and how you can help.

The Triangle Jazz Orchestra plays.

The live auction!

The ArtsCenter's main lobby. The Wynn theater needs a new railing, sound system, piano, curtain and more.

A bear dances with YPAC's Jeri Lynn Schulke to the sounds of the Triangle Jazz Orchestra.

The bear was really breaking it down.

My fellow intern Alex Hill (hi Alex!) gets interviewed about The ArtsCenter by Becca Brenner of the Daily Tar Heel.

A happy bidder during the live auction.

The Triangle Jazz Orchestra saxophone section plays.

Magician Joshua Iozoff turns one little red ball into twenty--without touching it!
