Karla Bonoff

Karla Bonoff has been described as one of the finest singer-songwriters of her generation.  And in her case, that description is not hyperbole.  During her nearly 40-year career, Bonoff has enjoyed critical acclaim, commercial success, enduring popularity and the unwavering respect of her peers.  Karla has seen her songs become hits for such stellar artists as Bonnie Raitt, Wynonna Judd and Linda Ronstadt.

Karla played to a sold-out ArtsCenter last night. Photos below, and don’t forget Love to Haiti today!

Kenny Edwards sings and plays bass for Bonoff.

A sold-out audience packed the ArtsCenter's Earl and Rhoda Wynn theater.

Edwards plays the prettiest mandolin I've ever seen.

  1. I have followed Karla Bonoff since the 70’s. So when I saw that I had the opportunity to see her again at the Carrboro Arts Center (saw here over 20 years ago in the same venue) I was thrilled. Karla was outstanding. The sound was dreadful. Kenny and Nina kept flagging the sound man for corrections until it became comical to them. My guest for the evening said he could not understand any words on the vocals. I love this place, I love the music you bring here….but please for goodness sake hire a capable sound guy. I will think twice before I buy another ticket.
